Automobiles in German Town Found Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities stated they were notified by a man who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Around fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a release.

Officers report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located multiple other marked automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police state preliminary tests suggest the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for details.

An important official stated the attack rendered him speechless and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist attack five years ago," he stated on social media, referring to the killing of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of foreign heritage in 2020.
